Working in a variety of materials children are encouraged to explore the fundamental elements of picture making -- color, composition and drawing. Students discover their own creative expression and style in a non-competitive and nurturing environment. Projects are designed to help children develop their fine motor skills, concentration and eye/hand coordination. Children will explore drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, papier mache, clay, watercolor and pastels. Classes taught by Betsy Beach at her studio in Westport, CT.

About Betsy Beach...

Betsy Beach studied art at Skidmore College, Parsons School of Design, The School of Visual Arts and The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. She worked for many years as a graphic designer, illustrating and designing books, stationery and gift products. Before opening her own studio Betsy was on the teaching staff at Paint, Draw & More! in Georgetown, CT where she taught children ages 4 - 15. Currently, she teaches at her studio in Westport and in Westport elementary and middle schools.

Betsy's paintings are on exhibit in galleries in Fairfield County.
