At Betsy Beach's Creative Art Studio students work with a variety of materials and are encouraged to explore the fundamental elements of picture making: color, composition and drawing. Students discover their own creative expression and style in a non-competitive and nurturing environment. Projects are designed to help participants develop their motor skills, concentration and eye/hand co-ordination. The focus is on developing imagination and spontaneity and also thinking an idea through, combining left brain and right brain development.

Studying the work of master artists is an essential component of the art classes at the studio. Students have the opportunity to experiment with drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, papier-mâché, clay, watercolor and pastels. Studio equipment includes a printing press and firing kiln for pottery and sculpture. Class size is limited to six students so they receive individual attention throughout the class. The joy of learning about art and individual self-expression is encouraged in all classes.
